Activity from page 87- Design a flyer for a toy store.  In designing these two fliers I tried not to violate any of the alignment  "don'ts" mentioned by Krause.

  1. Stacy,
I really enjoyed your ads. They definitely spoke out to me. I actually had this discussion with Katie a couple of months ago. I think that wooden toys are the best because they are more resistent. Your pictures matched perfetly and the text was aligned to the pictures. Your title and slogan were catchy and they really grab everyone's attention. Great job. I think Krause would be happy.

  2. Hi Stacy, I too am a big fan of wooden toys and still have some of the classic toys my kids played with even though the youngest is now 23! Stacy, is that your son in the pictures? The pictures in the second flyer are terrific.
May I, of no artistic talent whatsoever, make some suggestions on the second flyer? I think that all the text should be left aligned. In Design Basic Index, it says if words come up against graphics that have a defined line (like the pictures do on the left) then the text should be left justified.
He is a cute kid and could sell me anything!!

  3. Sheri,
I will try it and see what it looks like! PS these toys were on sale at Bed, Bath & Beyond at the Holidays. I just made up the classic stuff. Thanks for the comments about Max! He is a big ham!
